how to display vintage earrings?

I have vintage earrings that have a screw back rather than the traditional stud or hoop. If I hang them from a wire of some sort, they fall foward. any ideas?

1. stick them in Styrofoam
2. Buy a piece of peg board (hardware store. I think they will even cut it to size for you) and spray paint it a color you like. Place the earrings through the holes and screw them down!
