Why does some people carry fake designer brands? So, I see lots of people all around the world carrying these fake purses...like juicy couture, coach, chanel, & even tiffany & co jewelry. Does Anyone know why they carry fake purses? There is nothing i hate more than seeing a fake purse which some people like me can spot fake bags, as i no that they are really obvious I would much more like to see someone carrying a walmart bag--which im sorry but i kinda hate walmarts purses &clothes.

Does anybody know of a jewellery designer called "lythos" ? I bought a brooch from a charity shop today. It is a rectangular shape, made in stainless steel, and at the centre is a rectangular piece of pretty paua shell. It is not brand new; it may possibly be a 1970s vintage brooch. On the back it is engraved with the word "lythos" and below in smaller letters, the word ENGLAND. The t of lythos has an arrow head on top. I would love to know more about its origins. Any ideas?

♥♥♥How much money do you spend on...?♥♥♥? How much money do you spend approximately on clothes every year?Do you buy designer clothes, brands....? Include accessories, jewelry, shoes, bags . Thank you :):):) xoxo
Should I buy cheaper clothes? How familiar are people in China with designer brands worn in the US? I'm Chinese-American and i'm taking a trip to China. I heard that pickpocketing is very common in China. Most of my pants happen to be designer (Seven Jeans) and my watch is Seiko (with pave diamonds). Now i'm not wealthy by American standards and I never pay full price for designer clothing/jewelry (my uncle is a VP for Seiko). I just feel like I may be a big target for pickpocketers in China not only for being an obvious American tourist but also by what I wear. Is it necessary for me to buy cheaper clothes (not designer) for my trip and get a cheap watch? I'm kinda broke right now (college student) and I don't have much money to buy new clothes. All my clothes were purchased when I used to make more money. Btw, I don't really try to come off as a flashy snob. I don't carry a designer purse with me. On an average day, I just wear a plain t-shirt, designer jeans, sneakers or sandals, and a Seiko watch. The watch retails for $500 but it's still not a flashy watch. It's somewhat plain. The diamonds around the face of the watch are tiny. I'm not worried about someone stealing my pants off of me! My point is that if they know my pants are designer, they may assume i'm wealthy and think i'm a good target to pickpocket.
Boys: I need your preferences on how girls dress? Hair: Straight or big curls? Shoes: High tops or sneakers? Brands: Designer? Or does that make us look like brats? Jewelry: Big and bold? Beachy style? Do you like to see us wear different accessories all the time or is that too much? Thanks for all the help! :]
Do you not like girls that are "designer whores"? I am pretty rich by most people standards and some people think that I am a designer whore because I only wear name brands. Like: Louis Vuitton Prada Gucci Dolce & Gabbana Donna Karan Chanel Burberry Banana Republic True Religion Coach Dior Guess Dooney & Bourke Cavalli BeBe Stella McCartney Versace Juicy Couture Shoes: Jimmy Choo Christian Louboutin Jewelry: Tiffany & Co. Perfumes: Celebrity Perfumes Estee Lauder
What is the one clothing article you HAVE to splurge on? You know, everyone has something. Jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, whatever. For me it's jeans - I refuse to wear cheaper brands of jeans just because to me the difference between designer jeans and non-designer jeans is blaringly obvious, so I always splurge on expensive pairs.

I want to change my style from girly to preppy? As of now, I'm a girly girl, as in pink and glitter. However, I'd like to change my style to the stereotypical view of rich people (I'm not doing it to look stuckup or to be a wannabe, I just like the style). My hair is a dark blonde/light brown color and is about to my midback. I always part it down the middle. I was thinking of getting some chestnut lowlights, but I'm not sure yet. If I cut my hair, I'd just want to add bangs, not take away any length because I like having long hair. What brands of shoes/clothes/jewelry should I wear? The ones that come to mind are Tiffany & Co, Ralph Lauren, and designer brands like Chanel and Louis Vuitton. I'd also like to know what colors of makeup and nail polish I should wear. Thanks. I'm 16. I'm not doing this to "fit in". I don't try to be popular because those people are superficial. I do not want to be superficial, I just want to change my style slightly. I already wear Abercrombie and Hollister, I have for quite awhile.
Can I buy jamie+jamie jewelry online? I was visiting Sydney, Australia a week ago, and came across some jewelry in one of the boutiques in The Strand, in the shops off Pitt Street. A necklace I liked in particular was by the designer name "jamie+jamie" (a Sydney designer, I was told) and was a little more pricey than I would've liked to pay. I thought I'd be able to find it online when I got home, but haven't been able to. Anyone know of this brand name and if I can buy it online?
What makes American women "appear" so fickle? Clothes. Jewelry. The latest technology (cellphone) and designer brand. This goes out to middle-class/wealthy or rich women of American, from your personal prespective... do women really truly care that much about material things or is their more of a consciences behind the outer shell (good looks), i.e. world hunger, philosophy, or things that matter in the world. All opinions and points of view are welcome... mainly from women though; particulalry young 20-somethings.
What are the best drugstore eye shadows? I decided not to spend so much money on make up because I need money for important things like pedicures and manicures, expensive jewelry, good hair products, and designer clothes and shoes. So why not just get drugstore makeup that works just as well as? I want to know what cosmetic brand eye shadow has the best gold, bronze, peach, warm emerald green and copper color that are cremes eye shadows. I already found the best copper shadow its called coppering from Mac, yeah I know its expensive buts its my favorite red color!
Is 14 karats of gold good? well I want this set of three necklaces & it says 14 karat gold and there juicy couture (famous designer brand), is that worth £70 in like jewelry value? also they were on the juciy couture website like ages ago (but like in 2009 :P) but i never ordered them off the website because i didnt know if they did shipping to the UK, but i have found a website which sells them and does shipping to the UK but i don't really know if its going to be real juicy couture cos like shopping online theese days you don't really know which sites to trust. anyways heres the link, and could you give me your opinion, of if you think the necklace would be real and if you trust the site? : http://www.choicestore.co.uk/view/brands/juicy-couture/womens-accessories/detail/2138 thank you soo much in advance (: cupcake is $70 not $70 ! :P and why is that good or bad ? whoops i meant its £70 not $70
Spoiled, A brat, CAN'T STOP BRAGGING!? I'm 12. I go to private school and have never been on the campus of a public school. I've never seen anyone goth/emo/punk or have ever been in the city for any reason other then to go to dinner. I wear designer brands (Coach, Ralph Lauren, Lilly Pulitzer, Juicy). I am a big prep and my non-designer stores are Abercrombie, Hollister, and AE. I wear sevens jeans and coach flats, when I'm not in my school uniform. I have a cell (mint chocolate), iPod Touch, iPod Video, 2 iPod Minis, I buy all my make-up from MAC and my running shoes for gym are never cheaper then 90$ Nike Shox. I'm a HUGE daddy's girl and get all my jewelry from Tiffany's or small boutiques. My family has 3 houses, 2 jets (and pilots), a company limo (and driver), a box at all of our sports arenas, a chef, butler, and housekeeper. Am I spoiled or fortunate? (My dad worked hard to earn all of his money) I can't stop gloating whenever money fits into a conversation. How do I NOT brag? I can't help it!!! Please help me I don't care if you think I'm making it up. I'm not, so if you don't believe just give me advice on how not to brag! I try to be honest and if you can't believe me...fine. I don't mind, I just need advice I brag NOT because I'm a poser, but because my family (mainly m dad) is suffering through some..erm issues to but it bluntly. I'm bragging because I feel like I'm losing everything around me and nothing is right anymore. I just need advice on how to stop bragging. I already know I have a bragging problem and I already know how b*tchy I must sound.
My new Abercrombie thoughts.? Personally, I just hate Abercrombie&Fitch, and Hollister. I prefer Lacoste, Bebe, Louis Vuitton, and definetly Ralph Lauren&Polo. Abercrombie is for suburban and city kids, whom that's the closest to designer brand they can get! The brands I just named are very pricey, but their clothes are all handmade, and made from very good quality. In Abercrombie, their products are overpriced, and made from crappy material. I know it's a free country, and they can play their music as loud as they want to, but there is a limit. Say there is a fine jewelry store next door, and a man is buying his wife a nice present for some special occacion. They don't want loud music going on while having a romantic shopping spree. And a large % of the world has asthma. They spray their mens cologn every hour. . I go to a Chicago private school, and all the popular peeps wear abercrombie, and me and my frends wear the brands i just said. i think something is wrong with that. (i'll finishe the rest in mor details) Have you notice only whites and white washed asians shop there? And that the A&F models only wear jeans? No shirt. And the woman's breast is on the man's chest? That's almost porn. I really think they should change that. Also, the people who work there aren't friendly. I was returning something there because the outfit was made out of %100 polyester, and that's bad for my skin. so they guys like, "what's wrong with it?" in a really snobby tone, like i did something with it. and i'm like "it just didn't work for me". they should get better customer service. also, for all you blacks and asians out there, there was a law suit filed against abercrombie and hollister because they only hired white people. well that's all
Knock off designer clothing and such? IM looking for a website that features replica name brand clothes and shoes. Jewelry, sunglasses, etc. Especially burberry plaid like womans pea coats. THank you!!
I Would Like To Live With My Mother? Hello, everyone. I have a very serious issue. My parents are divorced, and they have been ever since I was a baby. I live with my father, since he has a good, steady job and my mother thought that it would be best for me. She's an artist who lives in a cute house by the sea. She paints and makes jewelry and art out of sea glass and seashells. She is also the one who gave me the name Marissa, which means "Star of the Sea". I've only seen her a few times since I was born: on Christmas 2005 (when I was 10), on my fifth b-day, when I graduated elementary school, and on my 13th b-day (I'm 14). Each time I met her she brought lovely presents, including jewelry she made and some of her paintings. When I turned 13 last year, she gave me a beautiful snow white kitten that she found wandering the shore. I named her Noelle. Each time I saw my mother, she was very kind, loving, and gentle, but my father never even let her kiss, hug, or even touch me. It's not like my mom's a bad person. They only got the divorce because my dad met "someone else". Him and his girlfriend are still in a relationship and she's just horrid. She hates me but LOVES my sister (who's 16). His girlfriend is constantly putting me down and saying mean things. Also, my dad favors my older sister. A LOT. He buys her so much stuff and gives her so many pets that she never takes care of, so I have to do it. She has all of the designer brands and is also quite nasty to me. I also dislike my dad because he doesn't show me love, and just flat out ignores me. To live with my mother, he would have to sign papers, and I'm wondering how to ask him. I'm afraid he'll get mad at me. We live in Pennsylvania and my mom lives in Cape Cod, so I would probably take a bus to get to her, since NO WAY would my dad drive me. I would have to bring my kitten Noelle, and my sisters pets as well, since she doesn't take care of them. She has a black kitten named Jinx (who I named), a golden-colored hamster named Sunny, and 2 white mice named Daisy and Snow. I myself don't have many belongings. I have clothes, shoes, and accessories, but not that many of them because most of my outfits are mix and match so I don't need many pieces of clothing and such. I also have a guitar, my white laptop (another gift from my mom) and stuff from my room. I wouldn't bring furniture, though, only some little things. So, in short, how do I ask my dad that I want to live with my mom, and how do I get there?
Why is today's culture so bad? Bad movies, bad music, bad fashion, etc...? Seriously! Music of the 80's: Michael Jackson, Guns 'N' Roses, Styx, Van Halen, Pat Benatar, The Police, A Flock of Seagulls, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Pink Floyd, Joan Jett, Prince, Queen. Even rap was cooler in the 80s! Music of the late 90's, 00's, early 10's: L'il Wayne, Jay Z, Miley Cyrus, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Timbaland...a lot of these "artists" are also trying to put more electronic sounds to their music stealing from the increasing fan support of Trance music (Armin) Fashion of the 80's: Lots of bizarre clothing, makeup, jewelry. Big hair, lots of style. You didn't always like it but it was sure to always keep you interested. Modern Fashion: Pants on the ground, lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground! Chrome teeth, wear a shirt that is 6xL to cover up your boxers, wear a hat at a weird angle and have it be 10 sizes too big, pop your pink shirt's collars while wearing flipflops and wearing only designer brands... When you have "stars" like Bam Margera and Hannah Montana...well...enough said haha! Y2K decade was bad and 2010's does not seem like it's getting better fast enough...does anybody know WHY? What happened to destroy USA culture like this? It seems like the only good movies of Y2K decade were Lord of the Rings...anyways...leave your opinions hehe.
What is the US equivalent of the british stereotype "chav" (description enclosed)? Ignorant and rude, listen to R&B, rap and hip hop, typically of white working class or unemployed, living on council estates (housing funded by the government) on income support. Females often have bleached hair, wear fake tan, tacky jewellery, sweatsuits, provocative clothes and knock-off fakes of designer brands such as burberry. Males wear "bling", sweatsuits, baggy shirts, baggy jeans, hats and short hair, interests include soccer, cars, men's and magazines. Males often engaging in thuggish anti-social behaviour such as public drinking, drug abuse, rowdiness, soccer hooliganism, stealing or other forms of delinquency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scallie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lad_culture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ned_(Scottish) *and men's magazine, rather

Can anyone help me find this bracelet? Several months ago I was passing through a Belk department store and looked at their jewelry. They had a Lucky Brand bracelet that was a little over $30. It looked very similar to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/LUCKY-BRAND-Silver-Lucky-Designer-Huge-Bracelet-HOT-98_W0QQitemZ220114889001QQihZ012QQcategoryZ92727QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem but I believe it had more stones that were a bit smaller, and much paler in color (whitish). I don't remember the stars being on the back. I kept checking every time I went to the mall to see if it ever went on sale, and the last time I went, there weren't anymore, I've looked everywhere but I can't find the bracelet I am thinking of! Can anyone help?
What KIND OF BAG should I get for the coming school year? I'm starting ninth grade on the 12th(August) and I'm going to buy a new bag for the school year. I don't live in the US, so I won't have access to american stores like Forever 21, Aeropostale, Ae, Hot Topic etc.! Please keep this in mind! I live in Finland, which is situated in Northern Europe. Quite many designer brands can be found here in department stores, but some can't be found here. I doubt there are many here that are from Finland and know the stores here.. so I'm asking what kind of bag should I get? I don't use backpacks for school, I used to in 6th grade, but I've switched over to handbags. You can link to nice bags. My style is quite casual(I usually just wear jeans, tee, hoodie and accessorize the outfit with jewellery and cute shoes and bags), I do wear fancy stuff quite often though but not for school or in town, but I'm very girly. My favorite colour is sky-blue. I'm 14, but I turn 15 in September. :) Thanks! Well.. we have, H&M, Zara, Gina Tricot, JC(Jeans&Clothes), Accessorize, Longchamp, and some other ones. I like the zebra print bag. :) That's cute. No, we don't have Wet Seal. Oh, and you don't have to take from the stores that I mentioned, just what style of bag I could get. We have Lacoste here. I like all those three, I like the Dooney&Bourke one most. I love Dooney&Bourke bags but it's annoying 'cause I have to order if I want one.. :s There's so many things I want from the stores in the US.. Or then wait till spring until I visit NYC.
What present should I get for my secret santa? Shes a mate but we all know shes quite a princess with an out there taste [im talking bling, bright pink, fluro nail polish, designer brands] She does appreciate the efforts her friends go to get her presents, but what do you guys suggest? Its a 50 dirham [10 pound, 14 dollar limit, doesnt sound like a lot but you can get decent stuff out here] Im thinking jewellery from accessorize? No idea has to be in by wednesday Thanks in advance
Suggest me a name for an Indian store that sells clothes? I need to brand my store.. Would you suggest me a few names for an Indian store that creates authentic Asian-Indian outfits. Name a few words you identify India with. What more.. It would have Indian Jewellery, shoes, accessories to go with these outfits. Somewhere you can let the designer plan a complete look for you if you like. It has to be very young, chic, modern.. Aimed at females in the age group 16-28. So it has to be full of Life n love..
What types of brand new, unique fashion designs would you really enjoy seeing.? what would you like to see less of in terms of the fashion now -a-days? and why do you feel that way? If you could be an up and coming new fashion designer in anything...clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, sunglasses...and more..what would YOU design, and for what group would you lean more towards...teens, older people, children, babies, or all age groups? Women, men, boys and /or girls..or all? What do you think would be most likely your "best items..." of all of the things that you took pride in designing and why do you feel this way? Thank you and have fun..and be creative!
when it comes to jewelery do you like it more if it were a brand name, like Tiffany's? For my bridesmaids I was going to find a nice design of jewelry (found one I really like from Tiffany) and have it made by a local jeweler so that it would be less expensive, but still great quality (good quality real diamonds and aquamarines) My fiance thinks because its a special occasion we should just drop the bankroll and pay the extra money for designer jewelry, so it will be even more special for them. To me though it never really mattered, I mean diamonds are diamonds haha. Its not that we can't afford it, I am just curious about the general feeling. Haha I dont want to trick them, or copy an exact necklace, just the general idea. Dingding: Don't worry I am not an idiot, I own a home, a rental property, have a job, a college degree and have a nice chunk of change in the bank. I know what I can afford, but thank you for your concerns.

Milan -- When Italian fashion house Gianni Versace SpA recently threw a cocktail party in the courtyard of its 16th-century palazzo to promote its latest creations, designer Donatella Versace ducked out of the soiree early, flanked by bodyguards. Instead, Giancarlo Di Risio, Versace's bespectacled chief executive, presided over an evening that highlighted luxury goods: Parked at one end of the courtyard was a half-million-dollar Lamborghini Murcielago with a black-and-white leather interior by Versace. A huge poster showed an AgustaWestland helicopter with a Versace-designed cabin. Stacked nearby was luggage embossed with the brand's Greek motif, with pieces starting at about $4,000. Mr. Di Risio is trying to shift Versace's attention away from clothes and to accessories, home interiors and other lifestyle products that will bring in new streams of revenue and offset fickle fashion cycles. "Fashion does not exist at Versace," he said, describing his strategy in an interview before the reception. The new approach is bearing fruit. Versace swung back into the black last year, posting a $25.4 million profit after years of losses, and has shaken off millions in debt. Driving that turnaround were rising sales in the lucrative accessories Mr. Di Risio is pushing. Yet the effects of the makeover have touched the core of the company's identity. Ms. Versace has begun taming the flamboyant clothing designs that once set her and the fashion house apart from the crowd. "I no longer recognize myself in that kind of woman," the 52-year-old Ms. Versace said in a telephone interview. The culture shift at Versace highlights how an increasingly competitive fashion industry is forcing even the most freewheeling players to embrace a corporate culture. Many labels, including LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton's smaller brands like Celine and Marc Jacobs, have also been toning down their looks to appeal to a wider swath of consumers. Designers who once called the shots are ceding authority to executives who run the numbers. "In the beginning, it was a shock for me," Ms. Versace said. "When you tell a person who is used to being in power -- to saying yes or no on everything -- to take a step back, it's not easy. But it was necessary." Tweaking a label's aesthetics carries risks. If pushed too far, transformations risk alienating loyal customers, says Robert Burke, head of New York-based luxury-goods consultancy Robert Burke Associates and the former fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman. "You will always want to see a fashion edge to Versace," he says. Yet for family-owned fashion labels like Versace, pressure to make more money is high. They compete with publicly traded conglomerates such as LVMH and PPR SA's Gucci Group, which have the financial heft to expand with stores in the emerging markets of China, India and Russia -- seen as fueling the industry's growth. A number of Italy's top family-owned fashion houses, including Versace, Prada SpA and Salvatore Ferragamo SpA, are considering stock- market listings in the next couple of years. "An IPO would be the best way to raise money and implant in these countries," says Peter Farren, a luxury-goods analyst at the French investment firm Bryan Garnier. At Versace, a sobering realization is spurring Mr. Di Risio's moves: The clothes that once made the brand are now struggling to make money. In its heyday in the early 1990s, Versace stayed ahead of the fashion mainstream with lavish catwalk shows that celebrated the racy designs of founder Gianni Versace. The label amassed collections of real estate and artwork that enhanced the family's jet-setter status. The company found it increasingly tough to squeeze profits out of highly perishable fashions as production costs rose in Italy. In 1997, Mr. Versace was murdered outside his Miami villa. The firm's finances went into a tailspin, and it was forced to shelve plans to go public. Mr. Versace's 50% stake in the label went to his niece, Ms. Versace's then-preteen daughter Allegra Versace Beck, shifting the balance of power. Though Ms. Versace owns only 20% of the company, she was seen to exert huge influence because of her daughter's stake. A third sibling, Santo Versace, owns the remaining 30% of the company. Ms. Versace Beck, now 20 years old, manages her stake with the help of advisers. The Versace stakeholders decided the company needed a CEO who could turn the company around. Fabio Cacciatori, at one time an outside financial consultant for the company, became CEO in September 2003 but resigned in December. The company named Versace's then-Chief Financial Officer Daniele Ballestrazzi interim CEO as it searched for new leadership. When Versace recruited Mr. Di Risio from LVMH's Fendi label in the summer of 2004, the house was saddled with more than $146 million in debt and heading to a net loss of $124 million for the year, on revenue of $416 million. High-end retailers like Bergdorf Goodman had stopped carrying the brand. Bergdorf Chief Executive Jim Gold recalls that Versace was distributing too widely, diluting its exclusivity, and was overly consumed with making a splash on the runway. While many labels had started delivering retailers fresh designs more frequently, ahead of the runway collections, Versace resisted. Mr. Di Risio arrived with a new mantra. Clothing that is too fashionable, he told his lieutenants, is bad for business because it eats up capital and goes out of style quickly. Accessories and other leather goods are a better bet because they have a longer shelf life and fatter profit margins. To reduce Versace's dependence on fashion, Mr. Di Risio shut down lines such as Versace Intimates lingerie and Versace Young, a children's line. The company sold its unprofitable perfume, jewelry and watchmaking divisions, replacing them with lucrative licensing agreements with U.S. watch group Timex Corp. and Italian perfume and cosmetics maker EuroItalia Srl. Mr. Di Risio homed in on the company's shoes and handbags, which have higher profit margins because they cost less to produce than clothes but are easier to sell to a wide array of customers. Last year, more than 30% of Versace's $383 million in revenue came from accessories, compared with 4% when Mr. Di Risio arrived. He also expanded the label's push into home furnishings -- a business that generated sales of $82.5 million in 2006, up 55% from the year before. Versace recently unveiled its "Jet Seat," an aerodynamically-styled leather chair in a high-tech ceramic frame that is sold in Europe for <euro>38,000 (about $50,000). "It was like taking a blank page and rewriting everything," Mr. Di Risio says. To succeed, however, he had to get Ms. Versace on board. She had hoped to resurrect the costly haute-couture fashion shows the label had discontinued before Mr. Di Risio's arrival. But he argued she could more effectively enhance the line's exclusivity by holding showings for individual clients. "I said to Di Risio, 'This is not going to work. This is going to die,'" recalled Ms. Versace. But, she said, "I was wrong, and he was right. We sell more now." Ms. Versace had to become more conscious of how much time and money the label invests in promoting designs at events like the Oscars. Last year, the designer dressed actresses Hilary Swank, Uma Thurman and Salma Hayek and director Robert Altman's wife, Kathryn Reed Altman, who donned a navy-blue sequin gown. This year, however, Ms. Versace limited herself to one gown, designing a rose-colored dress with a sweeping train for best-actress nominee Penelope Cruz. For Versace's ready-to-wear line, Ms. Versace is going for looks she calls "a little more understated." Bergdorf Goodman will carry her designs in the fall for the first time in years. Ms. Versace is also working more closely with retailers, adding four more collections beyond the traditional spring and fall runway collections. These are shown to retailers in private visits, giving them a preview of what to expect. On the financial side, Mr. Di Risio has untangled the company's assets from those of the family, selling property he deemed "nonstrategic" to pay the company's debts. The family's Manhattan townhouse was sold for about $35 million, and its contents went up for auction in 2005. The paintings alone -- including works by artists Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein and Julian Schnabel -- fetched more than $11 million dollars. Flagship stores in New York, London and Milan that Mr. Di Risio described as "decadent and sad," were redone with sleek, minimalist designs. The label, which operates 82 stores and has 35 franchise operations, plans to open more than 10 boutiques by the end of the year, including seven stores in China alone. When Versace opened the doors of its updated Moscow boutique in April, an array of leather bags, belts and shoes greeted customers at the store's lacquered ground-floor entrance. The label's ready-to-wear collection was relegated to the upper floor.
Best stores to shop in NY? I'm going to ALBANY NY this weekend. I'm from canada and I'm really excited. I've never really been went deep in NY, just been to places like Buffalo and Rochester. What are some good stores to shop in? And I'm not talking about real expensive designer stores, just good brands for good prices. Stores sorta like AJ Wright. When I'm going there I'm hoping to buy jewelry, dressy/classy clothes and i'm also hoping to get my belly pierced there and my nails done! Any suggestions on good stores that sell these items or salons that do well-done nails for good prices, or any safe parlors, would really help! Thanks
personalized license plate? i just bought a brand new mercedes, i need a really, really cool plate. my inserest are designer shopping (shoes, clothes, jewelry,) etc; and rocknroll. i have to decide by tomarrow.
What should I do? If you have an answer please do, You get 10 points!? My best friend has a boyfriend. He's not new or anything but she all of a sudden starts acting like she got a new designer purse, like it's something brand new. She hangs out with him all the time. It's like she has a new best friend and leaves me out now. she talks to him instead of me. She gives him notes all the time. She hardly gives me notes anymore. She always gets stuff from him like jewelry. When I ask her where she got it, shes like "my boyfriend, isn't that soo sweet?" I am happy for her but now she treats me like im not near as important. Even when she does talk to me it's about him.She practically ignores me anyway. I'm not jealous or anything, just leftout and it's not fair. Im starting to get sick of it because she wont stop! What do I do? And i don't want a new best friend. We've been best best friends since elementary school. And how exacly should i tell her she's leaving me out? I don't wanna offend her?
Parents (mothers): what style do you admire when you see 13 year old girls wearing? I'm writing a play and one of the scenes have to do with parents gossiping. Do you prefer a "preppy" style, where the girl is wearing all brand names or designers, and is very stylish and girly, they look rich and want people to know it. They're more trendy that classic. Or do you prefer a more dainty look, where they dress in also brand names and such, but they dont have it written all over their shirts and wear classic outfits, that vintage like and rich where you can tell but they dont look like they want to flaunt it. and for hair: do you like it perfectly in place where lots of effort looks put into it, or do you prefer a natural look? or if you dont like any of the above, state what style you DO like. Also for jewelry, do you prefer bulkier/more trendy things or just tiny gems that are classic? Do you think 13 year old girls should wear a tiffanys bracelet, or is it too much for them? and what are your pet peeves of what you see 13 year old girls wearing?

diamond ring? Ok, I think that this weekend my boyfriend will take me shopping for a ring... Based on earlier conversations I know that his budget is $3000, I have no idea what should be my gridlines and where to buy, and I know that he will just point a store at the mall. I am not looking for any brand names, just something that actually worth his money and not expensive because it's made by a designer. None of my friends is interested in jewelry so I can't ask anyone else. Thanks! my question is what should be my guidlines choosing a diamond...
How do you feel about shopping at thrift stores? I have never purchased anything from a thrift store before today. The last 2 days I've been reading about people finding great things at thrift stores like designer items. I will tell you guys the highest brand I could find at my nearby thrift store: Shoes - Ehm...I don't remember the shoes but I do remember seeing a lot of Nine West and Aldo and stuff like that. Purses - Nine West Wallets - David Bitton ($20) Today I saw this GORGEOUS jewelry holder that was also a music box and a clock. I don't know if the clock works (I'll test it out later) but it was only $5.99. Some of the mini handles were missing, but I can reconstruct them. Have you found anything at a thrift store that you loved?
How does this back to school outfit sound? Here it is: (Im in high school) Black leather ballet flats with a flattened brass chain thing along the top of the toe part Dark, tight skinny jeans (slightly faded) A grey, flare sleeved, rhinestone covered Guess? shirt (Says brand name on it in rhinestones) Now for the things I haven't decided on yet: Either... A bare head, a blue satin headband, or a beige leather Chanel headband Either... A pink, white and silver Guess? buttondown with capped sleeves, the brand name very faint on the back in spread out silver studs, or a mahoghany (did I spell that right?) Propaganda (for those who don't know, that's a slightly less known designer line) jacket with capped sleeves, big buttons, and is loosley fastened up with three buttons that hook into loops of material, with a hood. As for makeup: Smoky grey eye shadow Red glossy lip gloss Pink pearly nail polish A bit of mascara (?) Jewelry: A white gold Guess? charm bracelet, with a crystal G charm and a few others A chunky necklace (Louis Vuitton? I don't know yet) Bags: Tokidoki messenger bag ( for school books), and a XOXO handbag. Shimmery blueish wallet. I'm bringing my Samsung swing cell (pink), and my iTouch, and some other basic stuff. Hairstyle: My hair is naturally caramel-chocolate-aubern coloured, and about 4 inches below shoulder length (I luv my hair), and is slightly wavy near the bottom, otherwise is straight. I was thinking of adding volumous waves to the bottom :) Finally, scent: Either this deeeeeelish Eau De Toilette, Guess?'s new "Gold" perfume, or some Paris original I got as a gift, Thanx for all the help everyone!!!

Your TOP 10 Style List of Things You LOVE!? So, make a TOP 10 List of Everything Style! ~ It can be a clothing brand your love at the moment, a perfume, a make-up item you can't live without, a to die for piece of jewelry, a pair of shoes you're in love with, a hair cut/color/style, a certain tee shirt you saw on ebay, whatever. It can be a huge designer or from Target, doesn't matter. Provide links if possible, so you can share with me exactly what you're talking about. ;) And remember, it doesn't have to be like "what's in style" at the moment according to the runways or Vogue or whatever, it's what you think is awesome. I'm a much simpler girl than Vogue, anyway. And with way less money. Have fun!! 10 points to whoever shows me what they're talking about best, whether it be through description or links.. How am I high maintenance? My favorite store is Target. If you really loved style and fashion than this question would be fun. If you find it a chore, don't post anything at all, and save your mouse the clicks. DUH.
Christmas wish list '08? Ok I'm not trying to be like spoiled, bratty etc. For christmas I have no idea what to ask my parents for. I have like everything I would ever want. Anyone have any ideas? My favorite designers include Louis Vuitton, Aqua, Theory, Kate Spade, 7 Jeans, J Brand, BCBG, Diane Von Furstenburg, Tory Burch, Burberry, Milly, Marc Jacobs, and Vince. I also love to have my jewelry from Tiffany & Co. I am very fashion forward. I love Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf's style very much which basically originates from Audrey Hepburn... but i also love Serena Vanderwoodsen's style boho chic mixed with Upper East Side and vintage clothes. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful thanks :D p.s. I'm only 15 so don't do anything slutty.
